Very cute! I was just looking(not buying, they're all sold) at a friends' litter in Bellevue night before last.

Happy, do you visit the MM website?  There is a guy (I think he is a pro trainer and field trial guy??) selling a 5 month old male pup that has a bunch of training for $400.  Seemed like a pretty good deal but I know nothing about the breed I just think they are cool dogs and know they can hunt.

Congrats to Newbie on the little pup.

One of the best dogs I've ever hunted behind was a female GSP named "Chase". Apparently her name was originally some girly name the kids had given her as a pup.  She was stubborn, fast and loved shoes when they brought her home.  So the first two months the whole family was chasing her around the house trying to get their shoes back.  She loved the kids chasing her so the name was changed.  By the time I hunted with her she was the most disciplined, well mannered yet happy dog you could imagine.  I've yet to hunt with a dog that had more stamina chasing wild chuckars.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Can't do all that much training with a 5 month old but, still a decent price. Question would be is the guy training the dog he owns himself or, has it been with a pro? Has the pup been with the same person who trained the one he owns? You'd have to ask some questions. I don't like the looks of his back in the pictures. Looks roach-backed. Topline and proportions of the dog don't look good. Had to say at that age too because the growth spurts and they'll get all goofy looking on and off.

He also had a cat named "Ralph Damnit"  which they called "Damnit" for short.

That is funny for a cat but what a sad name! Reminds me of this little girl I used to tutor for the children's literacy program who was named Biatch....some parents should be shot
